To our knowledge, these are the twenty-one Canadian wire and cable plants that have closed since 1980. In total, these plants
represent over four million square feet of manufacturing and much of the process know-how has been permanently lost to the country.
Their order is not chronological but rather from west to east.
We also understand that two new wire and cable plants were started and are still running in this same time period.
